Hospitality suite entertainment at the F1
Last weekend was again the F1 in Singapore. A lot of companies, especially banks take this opportunity to connect with their most important clients and invite them to a hospitality suite with great food and usually access to the race or the pre-qualifying. I have in the past provided multiple times hospitality suite entertainment at the racetrack in Singapore and the Hockenheimring in Germany. Usually I am engaged before the race to entertain the guests during the cocktails and/or dinner. This year I was working for UBS at the Raffles Hotel Bar and Billard room. It was great fun and no noise from the race track… You would think that is normal well I performed once at suite directly above the track which was for a small group of 40 people. The client booked me for 3 hours to entertain the guest during the race… Well I had not much to do since everyone was watching the race and when the watched it was interrupted by the passing cars. This is basically like somebody puts you on mute for 30 seconds. At least the fee was good ;-).
I usually recommend the client to have the entertainment as part of the pre-race cocktails and/or dinner. This ensures that people can enjoy it and the client gets something for the investment.
